Roll Call #2

It's been a while since I've done a roll call here on the blog, so I thought since I'm in a fall state of mind that I would do one today! Love getting comments and emails from y'all, so here's how it works: Leave your name {first name only if you prefer}, what state your from, and answer this question:

When do you put up your fall decorations?

I'll go first:

Laura
Louisiana
Labor Day weekend but I transition and add to/take down all throughout Halloween & Thanksgiving

Loved hearing where y'all were from on the last roll call and I'm so glad that most of my readers, are sweet tea drinkers - or at least half and half!  That still counts!

Happy Monday, friends!

I usually put out the fall decor around labor day, adding Halloween items in October and Thanksgiving in November. (Same as you!) The last few years, we have gone out of town for Thanksgiving, so we put up Christmas before we leave! Have a good Monday!

    1. My Christmas goes up really early - at least the tree does - so there are a few weeks I have a mixture of fall and Christmas!

I would put it up in August but my hubby says I cant put it up till October 1... so its usually a compromise of the middle of September :)

I usually do mine the first week of September, too, and like you add Halloween later. I used to put my Christmas tree up, and decorate it with pumpkins and a fall theme, like Hobby Lobby. The best thing about it was that it got my tree up, so after Thanksgiving I just had to take the fall stuff off and add the Christmas stuff, BUT after five years of doing that, I think I'm going to skip this year and just decorate the house.

    1. I've never decorated my tree for Fall or Halloween, but that's a neat idea!

I usually put stuff up the first part of September and then add Halloween/Thanksgiving stuff...as well as just new fall stuff....throughout the season. I have more fall decorations than Christmas!

Labor Day weekend baby inside but real mums and pumpkins outside: 3rd week of September or there'd be dead and rotten by October, lol.

Middle to the End of September, typically when the weather starts to get cool which is sadly in a few weeks for us.

Georgia, or should I say Hotlanta right now!!! LOL
Working on it. Wreath is ready to go, hydrangeas have been cut and are drying. Next week is my guess, hot or not. If I wait until it truly cools off it'll be time to break out the Christmas totes.

I usually start putting fall decorations up at the first of September but it is a slow process for me finding the time to get it done!
