What's On Your Spring Bucket List?

Spring 2019 has arrived, y'all!  And so has the pollen! Our vehicles are proof! Here's to hoping that our allergies aren't affected! But isn't it exciting to see Spring's arrival?

Last summer, I came up with my very first summer bucket list. And it was kinda fun! What I found was that instead of being afraid of failure, I actually enjoyed working toward something and succeeding at my goals. Now, I didn't accomplish all the things on my list, but it was still a success.

What worked in the summer can work in the spring, too, right?

I think so! My spring bucket list is short and sweet simply because spring isn't quite as laid back as summer, but I think I've chosen some fun things.
Try a new salad recipe || I have found some delicious looking salad recipes on Pinterest lately and I really want to find a few new ones to rotate this summer for family meals and for entertaining.

Picnic in the park || I really want to do this after church a few times on Sundays (before the days get too warm) in hopes that we can get back that family time that we've been missing due to our teenager's social calendar.

Buy fresh flowers || I actually got this idea from another social media friend and even though we don't have street side florists or Trader Joes where I live, I'm determined to have fresh flowers in our home this spring. They make me smile.

Celebrate Easter || Cannot WAIT to celebrate Easter at the beach this year!

Host a Mexican fiesta || Cinco de Mayo is one of my favorite days to celebrate and plans are already in the works for a fiesta by the pool this year.

Spot a rainbow || Rainbows have always been special to me, but after Wayne's heart attack last summer, they hold even more meaning of God's promises.

Enjoy an outside concert || As of this weekend, we should be able to mark this one off our list! We've made plans to attend an outdoor concert with friends at a local vineyard.

Now if you've been following me for a few weeks, you just might remember that one of the prompts to 3 Things for April asks about your spring bucket list. I actually had the idea for this post before I decided to add it to our list for the series. And I am so excited to find out what is on all your bucket lists on April 8th. Write with me!

  1. I need to put together a bucket list, such a great idea! I love fresh flowers too. Sometimes I grab some at our Walmart grocery store or Aldi. Aldi has some of the best roses andthey are so much less expensive! Easter at the beach sounds wonderful!
Thinking of you this week my precious friend, love you!

  8. Hey sunshine! Love this list. So glad I saw yours before writing mine, might have to borrow a few of these ideas. Hope you will link up with us tomorrow when our lists go live.

I look for butterflies because they help me to feel that my father is near. Now I am going to look for rainbows, too. Actually, already do because they are so rare here in El Paso. It never rains!

Easter at the beach? Can I drive you? I won't talk in the car or take up much room wherever you are staying. Oh, how I need some beachtime.

Copying the 3 Things graphic now to paste into my post so I will have it there when the time comes. Holidays here are so lonely without my daughters or other family around. Not even sure PC will be home for Easter. Boo!!

  10. That is a great spring bucket list. One of my 'dreams' is to get to FL in the next month or so and veg on the beach for a few days. It has been a LONG cold winter here.
Have a wonderful first day of spring. xo Diana

  11. We shared our spring bucket list today too! But we don't have to deal with the pollen for probably another few months as we still have some ice and snow around.

  12. Yes, I'm with you, fresh flowers just add such a special touch. Our Wal-Mart really has lovely ones too. Maybe I need to take the Gran girls on a picnic this spring. Happy rest of the week Laura!
