What's Up Wednesday With The Style Six

Where has October gone? Seriously, POOF! It's one of my favorite months of the year and I look forward to it beginning July 5th! And now?

I promise you're in the right place if you're wanting to link up with the Style Six today!  Just a little recap of what we've been up to this month, also!
What's Up Wednesday Graphic
What We're Eating This Week || I took cheesy chicken spaghetti (not in the crock pot), green beans, garlic bread, and THIS yummy dessert to friends of ours that recently had a baby. It was the first time I had made that version of Oreo Pie and now Wayne and Alise are waiting with bated breath for me to make them one! I made this pumpkin charcuterie board one Saturday to share with friends that came over to watch football. I think the cheetos were gone before the cheese and crackers! Ha! These yummy Lettuce Wraps are on the menu this week!
What I'm Reminiscing About || Smocked dresses and big bows. I cannot lie!
What We've Been Up To|| Homecoming and Basketball. That is all.
When I watch her on the court, it's so hard to believe this is the same little girl in the picture from ten years ago. Never, ever did I think I would be the mom of a basketball player, who as a freshman, is starting the Varsity team. Her Coach is TOUGH, but Alise encourages her team mates and even after taking a hard L, she gets right back on the court and does it again. If she can just keep her fouling under control! Ha!

What I'm Listening To || I absolutely LOVE listening to this guy's sermons.

What I'm Reading/Watching || Getting caught up on this season of This Is Us. Finished another book, but it was just okay to me. Too hyped.
This Tender Land: A Novel by [Krueger, William Kent]
What I'm Wearing || My best friend gave me the softest lilac sweatshirt this past weekend and it was the perfect Saturday for it! I absolutely love it! This week for The Style Six, I'm sharing two of my favorite posts so far this fall. You can click on the link under each picture to read about that week's style.
What else is new || There may have been a pumpkin carving party with Alise and her friends a few weekends ago. We left Alise's pumpkin in the house, came home from a basketball game a few days later, and noticed that the pumpkin was molding! Yuck! But the kids had fun so that's all that matters, right?
My pick of the week goes to Karen at Lady in Violet. I had the hardest time trying to save a picture of Karen's look, so you'll just have to visit her blog HERE and check it out for yourself. I'm a sucker for royal blue and I love how she styled it with the gray leather leggings. Thanks for linking up with the Style Six, Karen!

And now it's your turn!

Hi there, I'm Laura, I'm the happiest wife, the loudest cheer mom, and the craziest girlfriend you'all ever have, I'm a Southern Belle living in a Southern world!

  1. Still can't get over how darling you were in those yellow pants!! And I guess I'm going to need to get on this wrap bracelet band wagon because I LOVE them!! One more sleep friend!! Can't wait!

  2. Oh my goodness those Facebook memories get me sometimes... one just popped up of my son at 2 weeks old wearing a hat my grandma knit for him. This smocked dress + big bow photo is just as adorable! And I was curious about that book - but such a bummer when things end up feeling over-hyped, isn't it?

  3. Oh my goodness, that picture of Alise 10 years sweet! And then seeing her all glammed up for Hoco and then on the basketball court - wow! She's beautiful Laura, just like her momma! Can't wait to see you TOMORROW!!

  4. So sorry the pumpkin was molding already. It’s so cute. That homecoming pic of you and baby girl is just precious. Your baller...what a great career she is going to have. I’m gonna squeeze you tight tomorrow my felllow wonderful witch, bha ha ha. xo

  5. I love those Victoria Emerson wrap bracelets too. Have a great week.

  6. What fab mustard pants on you! :) I love your pumpkin snack board, so creative! :)

It's a shame the real carved pumpkin didn't last until Halloween!

Thank you for the link up!

Hope that your week is going well! :)

    Away From Blue

  7. The contrast between the smocks'n'bows pic and the homecoming photo below just blew my mind! They grow up so fast! Yes, October just flew by didn't it? I waited to buy a pumpkin to carve because of the dreaded mold issue here in the Tx heat. Well, I almost waited to late. We went to about 5 stores last night to find a carving pumpkin. The retail world is all ready for Christmas now. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  8. Thanks for the tip on the sermons...I'm off to check it out!

  9. Haven't bought a real pumpkin in quite a while. Usually one of the boys brings a mini pumpkin from a school fieldtrip and those last a while.

  10. Such a fun post! October and November are my fave months and I can’t believe that October is already gone. I did nothing to enjoy the outside Fall weather. Boo on me! Thanks for sharing all the lovely things in your life!

  11. That is an adorable snack tray! Love it. I noticed that our pumpkins rotted really fast after we carved them too.

  12. I feel like your sweet girls pumpkin has a KISS feel on it ;) LOL

  13. Love that picture of you and Alise, so, so good! And, our good friends son is going to be on staff at Long Hollow Jan. 1st. It's quite the church from what I've read and heard. Have a happy and cold Halloween!

  14. I've got get a wrap bracelet!!! I love yours!!! That picture of Alise in her precious smocked dress😍
    See you TOMORROW!!!
