3 Things ~ April 2019

Welcome to 3 Things! Today we're sharing these three prompts about spring and Easter! Write with me or leave your 3 Things in the comments below. I would love to read them! Here we go!

1. What 3 things are on your spring bucket list?
I shared my own bucket list a few weeks ago. I listed seven fun things that I'm hoping we can do as a family over the next few months. Actually, I can already cross out two things: buy fresh flowers and enjoy an outside concert. We've recently attended two concerts at a local vineyard and I've had the pleasure of dining al fresco with friends at a local restaurant that just reopened. I am so ready for the pollen to go away so that we can open up the pool and enjoy meals outside again.

2. Spring cleaning, spring forward, or spring break. Which is your favorite and why?
I just wonder how many are going to choose spring break for this question? It makes me smile just thinking about it. Springing forward is definitely NOT a favorite of mine! I'm looking forward to our Spring Break for sure!

3. What 3 dishes will be on your Easter menu?
Unfortunately, we will be at the beach for Easter so I have no idea what we will be eating. A few years ago, I posted some ideas for Easter lunch here and here so maybe that will inspire your menu for our most beloved Christian holiday. If we were in town, though, ham would definitely be on our table after our Easter church service.

Friends, here are the last 3 Things prompts for Spring. We'll pick back up in the fall on September 9th. Gosh, that seems so far away, but I actually just booked a flight for the end of October and it can't get here soon enough! I just know summer is going to FLY BY! Thanks for participating and writing with me these last few months and I look forward to joining you all again in the fall.  In the meantime, you'll still find me here hanging out at the Horton Family! Thank you for reading! Love and blessings to you all!

  2. I wonder how many people will pick spring cleaning? Send them here, please! I'm ready for all the pollen to go away too. My back porch needs a thorough cleaning because everything is covered in yellow dust! Ugh!
I'll be answering my 3 later this week sweet friend!!! Such a fun idea!

    1. I am that person who picked Spring Cleaning! I honestly couldn't believe it myself, but I hate Springing forward, and I have to work through Spring break this year.

  3. If the speed of time passing so far this year is any indication, we'll arrive in fall in no time! We had a big storm with high winds and lots of rain, and they say this blasted all the pollen off the trees. I sure hope so! Thanks for the fun writing prompt. I had fun answering the questions. 5. I just found your blog on a Monday morning and it was a gift.
Also, deviled eggs are my favorite Easter side dish.
Also, you will be at the beach for Easter and there is nothing unfortunate about that. :)

  6. I am that weirdo who picked Spring Cleaning! I have a good reason though! I posted my three on my site, and I'm glad I used your prompt because you got me thinking about things like a Spring bucket list, which I hadn't thought of. Also, I am hosting Easter this year, and I did't start planning my Easter menu until I read your prompt!

Side note, there is nothing unfortunate about being on a beach for Easter! :)

  7. I wouldnt be one that picks Spring Break... What's that? :) Not having kids, its not like it effects me - & it only makes me upset when everyone else is taking off to go on vacation. haha

  8. Andrea's post reminded me to make deviled eggs for my PC. Need to do that even though we are going to an Easter buffet on post for our main meal. That way we have no leftovers hanging around. One splurge and done.

Sad to think this series is taking a vacay. I have truly enjoyed it. Will be anxiously awaiting its return in the fall. But plan on savoring the rest of spring and summer!!

  9. Hi Laura,
An outside concert sounds like a lot of fun and of course buying fresh flowers. Going to the beach sounds so nice and hope you have fun. I do love Easter and spending it with family. I enjoy this months three things! :)

  10. The beach for Easter, what fun! It will just be Hubby and I for Easter as the kids go to our DIL's Mom's for Easter but we'll have them Good Friday for our family fun. Have yourself a good week and let me know if you ever get a chance to do lunch.

  14. Man I had all intentions to do this, and then got busy and tired and didn't do it. Next month, is it for the second Monday of the month? Also we had ham at Easter, and Lamb...and all the yummy sides, was so full!
