TBB Asks...Thankful

Those TBB girls! They decided to play hard ball for the month of November! Yikes!  This month's prompts were H-A-R-D and I don't know about you, but I don't like H-A-R-D. However...I'm not a spoil sport, so I decided to pick and choose which questions I wanted to answer this month.  Here goes!

1. A New Friend
A few weeks ago, I decided to grab something at the cafeteria and work through lunch. I took a "back hallway" aka "shorter route" when a lady stopped and asked me about my hair. She had recently gone through chemo for breast cancer and her hair was coming back in curly and she told me she had no idea how to style it. She raved over the shape and style of my hair and asked if she could take pictures to show her stylist back in Lafayette. My heart went out to her. I hugged her and wished her the best. New friend made.

6. Somewhere you go everyday
With all the changes and turnover currently happening at the Mother Ship, I am most grateful for my job!

8. A far-away place
Is it okay to be thankful for Hawaii? My hope is that one day Wayne and I will be able to return to "paradise on earth." We want to take Alise back to Maui with us. It was our favorite island.

11. Something you enjoy doing
Reading

12. Someone female
I am missing Stephanie so much. These last few weeks have been stressful for her and it just kills this Mama's soul because there's nothing I can do about it. I want to hug her and tell her that everything is going to be ok. I am so thankful that God brought her to our family. I gathered all the things for her care package and got it in the mail last week, so hopefully, Steph will have a nice surprise for Thanksgiving!

15. Something warm
Soup! I made a big pot of it last night!

I don't know why I felt the need to elaborate on my answers this month. It just worked out that way, I guess.

Question of the day: Does anyone know how to wash/clean a Roman Shade?

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by and read our family blog!

  2. Like the way you picked just some of the prompts to answer. Can't help you with the Roman shade except to say surely Pinterest can give you some suggestions.

What a dear new friend you have made. Bless her heart to be in the midst of the fight for her life. Cancer is such a demon. Bless your heart for being so open to her questions and compliments. Thank you for being so approachable.
