The End of Softball Season

Alise had her last softball game last night.

Yep, last night was the last night for eating ball park food for supper.  Especially nachos!  Yummy!

Anyhoo, I am so proud of her for playing this year and for sticking with it.  We were inundated with practices this year {LOTS more practices than with t-ball} and our games were scheduled at least two a week.  She improved so much over the season, nearly making 2 home runs and she caught one fly ball.  She made several outs, too.  She played left field, short stop, and second base.  Her team came in third place, which I thought was very good considering the whole team was new to softball this year.  We've played with some of the girls for four years, beginning with t-ball.  We've gotten to know the girls and become friends with their parents {too bad they are all LSU fans}.  This weekend, we'll be hosting the team party at our home!

And can I just say that I loved our uniforms this year?  Ha!  Our t-ball uniform colors for the past few years had been awful.

So now that softball season is over, it's time to start working on that swim time for our first meet in September!

  1. Cute pic of Alise! Sounds like you guys spent a lot of time at the fields...I bet she loved every minute of it!

  2. Way to go Alise!!! We are so proud of you. Hope you have a great Summer break!
