So This Is How We Celebrated Easter

We took Alise to Memphis for Easter weekend. The child can finally say she's been in the state of Tennessee! Although, to her, she could care less, but one of these days, she'll want to count all the states that she's ever been to and she'll ask me, "Mom, have I ever been to Tennessee?" and I can say, "Yes, you have."

Our first stop Friday evening when we got there was the Galleria. I wanted to clothes shop and found absolutely nothing for myself, but Alise racked up at Crazy 8 and Build A Bear. Then we took her to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Abuelo's, which Alise refers to as "the mint restaurant." They have a bowl of soft mints sitting nearby when you leave the restaurant. Wayne had some in his truck from our visit in January and she wanted to go to the restaurant that had them, so we did.

Saturday morning, we did some more shopping at Saddle Creek, had lunch at Panera Bread and headed to the Children's Museum. It was awesome!! We stayed 3 hours and had to drag Alise out then! Next it was ice cream and a trip back to the hotel for a little rest. We decided to take Alise to The Melting Pot for dinner and she absolutely LOVED cooking her own food! She said her favorite part was dessert {of course!}!

We slept in Sunday morning and then headed to the Memphis Zoo. If the Children's Museum was so awesome, the zoo was even MORE impressive. And luckily for Alise, there was another dinosaur exhibit involved! She is infactuated with dinosaurs ever since reading about them in school! And everyone - I mean EVERYONE - needs to see the Dinosaur exhibit at the zoo!! It is wonderful! We saw Panda and Polar bears and fed giraffes too!

The Horton's LOVE Memphis!!
