You're A Mean One...Mr. Grinch

On Saturday night, Alise requested that we have a "Family Night."

It's not like we never have family nights. She doesn't understand that when we go out to eat or visit friends, or just sit at home and fold clothes while we watch TV that those are considered "Family Nights," too.

Just didn't want you to get the wrong impression. That we never did anything with our daughter. I think this blog proves - if nothing else - that we are ALWAYS busy doing things with her.

She had been hearing on the radio an advertisement for "The Grinch That Couldn't Steal Christmas" at a local church and begged to see it. So we loaded up in the car, stopped for pizza on the way, and then headed to see The Grinch. And I must say that for FREE admission, this was one of the best shows for Christmas entertainment in town! It was a little long, but it was wonderful and you could tell that the kids loved it! Alise loved it!! We got to meet the characters after the show and even got a picture with The Grinch himself.

Even Wayne had a good time!

And I would have plopped myself in Santa's lap and started singing "Santa Baby"!...if only he'd been a little older! Ha!

I sure wish I could have used this as our Christmas card this year! We topped the night off with frosties from Wendy's. It didn't matter that it was in the '30's outside!! Alise had a great idea when she suggested the performance and we had a wonderful Family Night.

Merry Christmas!!
