A Fun Labor Day Weekend

On Friday night, Alise and I headed to our first RO football game of the season. Wayne decided to stay home and keep supper warm for our family from Alabama that was coming to spend the weekend with us. To say that Alise was "pumped" about the game would be a big understatement! She LOVES to go to football games! How do you like that cheerleader skirt with those flip flops? Ha!
This is a picture of Alise with her friend A and Big Sis, GA. Our school is so great about having the "Big Sis/Lil Sis and Big Bro/Lil Bro" program! Trust me! Those little ones are looking for their Big Sis and Bros at the football game!!

Cheering with friends at the game.

On Saturday, Alise and A insisted on swimming in the rain. It wasn't a down pour, but just a slow drizzling rain....the kind that I like to call "sleeping weather." Wayne's cousin brought his "Corn Hole Toss" game. The game is HUGE in Alabama - even the Sabans play it with close friends when they entertain. We had to end up setting the game up inside Sunday night and Wayne and Stacey played a few rounds.

On Saturday night, we got a babysitter and took Henry and Stacey to our favorite hamburger dive to watch the LSU v. Oregon game. We had SO much fun!! I think we managed to run off all the LSU fans with our "quacking" - Ha! We got some looks when we all walked in with our Alabama shirts on!!

On Sunday night, we fried fish with all the trimmings and I made Copeland's Spinach and Artichoke Dip WITH the bowtie pasta!! If you've never had this appetizer at Copeland's, you MUST order it next time you are there!! It's awesome and probably my favorite dip! I have to say that this version tasted just like the real thing, but I'm not quite sure all the extra work was worth it! It was very time consuming. Maybe next time, I'll just order some to go!

It's hard to believe that the three day weekend is already over! I'm exhausted! We put Alise to bed at 7PM tonight because she's been up until nearly midnight for the past three nights!

Here's to a FOUR day work week! Hope you have a good one!
