Why, yes! Yes, I do! When I was in elementary, junior high, and until I was a junior in high school, my mother lived vicariously through me! Since she always wanted to learn to play the piano, she decided that I could learn to play instead. Woot! However, her little protege' didn't like to practice and I finally convinced her in the 11th grade that I had had enough. And...she let me quit. One of the hardest things I've ever had to tell my mother. I do feel "priveledged" that I know a little bit about reading music. It helped those few years I decided to sing in our church choir. And I also won a few competitions at our local college back in the day. However, my tastes are different, so I've decided to live vicariously though my own daughter with cheerleading. It's called a scholarship, my friend. It's a tough world out there, dear readers, and for those of you that say you can also win a musical scholarship....Hush up! You're raining on my Friday!!
2. What is your pet peeve while driving?
Oh, you had to ask! Just this morning I was suffering with a complete case of road rage!! I absolutely HATE when people don't get in a freakin' turn lane!! That's what it's there for!! And don't use hand signals!! I have no idea what a straight arm stickin' out your diesal-smelling truck means!
3. Would you rather have a housekeeper or unlimited spa services?
I would much prefer unlimited spa services. Something about a massage whenever I want it just gives me the warm fuzzies. The absolute best Spa I have ever been to (and I haven't been to many, but I've always wanted to fly somewhere to one...ya know? Like the desert or something?) was Gould's in Memphis. Sheer bliss! And yeah, I know Memphis is a long way from the desert!
4. Is there a song that you hear that takes you back to the moment like a junior high or high school dance?
That was a long time ago. We didn't dance. We just sat around and looked at everybody. Unless someone spiked the punch. And THEN we danced our butts off!
5. What song best represents your life right now?
This is an excellent question. But since my daughter talks non-stop and likes to listen to the same audio books over and over and over again...I haven't been listening to the radio much these days. I bask in the silence after I drop her off at daycare. All I know these days is that Lady GaGa really scares me! And who is Justin Bieber? Just give me the '80's and '90's. That's when I'm the happiest....when I know the words to the songs. Or at least try to remember the words!
We're slammed with TWO swimming birthday parties back to back! When we're not melting from the sun, we'll be painting at the new house!
Ya'll have a GREAT weekend!
